http://www.foodforlife.org.uk/Whatyoucando/RoastDinnerDay2012.aspx we supported this in our schools with a roast chicken lunch and apple crumble which are always popular choices. We are still waiting for the numbers to come in but will update when they do.
This week also saw the launch of a new pizza range into our Secondary schools courtesy of http://www.tugo.co.uk/pizza.php which were really well received. We are selling the usual slices at morning break and a new range of 6 inch ones for lunch with a range of toppings. The bases are proved on site which means that they rise and are lovely and light which the students seemed to love.
Lastly we had our annual business planning day yesterday which was a day of lively discussion and planning all the things that we want to do this year from theme days to audits and our new menus for Easter of next year. We also did some people profiling which involved drawing a pig and then analysing it - very entertaining and also useful in understanding how we all think and operate. It's going to be a busy year .....
